Staff
George
Taylor - Founder and Lab Director.
George graduated from
Lyman High School in Orlando, Florida in 1965. George served
two years in the Army including a tour in Vietnam as an Aircraft
Armament Repairman. George received a Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology from The University of Central Florida in 1976.
At UCF he participated in research studies concerning lake biology,
specifically fresh water algae identification. George also
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (ACS certified)
from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. George worked
as an Environmental Technician for Volusia County for seven years.
Shortly thereafter, George began working at Sherwood Medical in
DeLand where he became Corporate Chemical Quality Assurance Manager.
After eleven years at Sherwood, George founded The Water Shed Laboratories
in 1985.

George enjoys playing chess,
roller-blading, hiking and spending time with his girlfriend Wanda.

Scott
Gilmore - Customer Service Manager.
Scott graduated from Negaunee High School in the Upper Peninsula
of Michigan in 1990. After attending Northern Michigan University,
Scott joined the Navy where he worked as a Weapons Technician for
four years. Scott moved to Florida in 1995 and attended St.
Petersburg Junior College, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree,
Scott joined The Water Shed staff in 1999.
Scott enjoys playing bass guitar
and continuing his education in Graphic Design.

Claire
Berg - Bookkeeper
Claire received a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University
of Miami in 1958, and moved with her family from Indiana, Pennsylvania
to DeLand in 1973.
Claire’s job history includes
substitute teaching, administrative assistant, financial assistant
for the West Volusia Hospital Authority for five years, and joining
the Water Shed Laboratories in late 1999.
Claire enjoys tennis, church
choir and playing with her five grandchildren.

Kurt
Seiler - Technical Director/QA Officer
Kurt graduated in 2005 at The
University of Bridgeport in Connecticut with a major in biology
and a minor in chemistry. During this time, he worked as a TA for
the microbiology department at UB. In late 2005, Kurt moved down
to Florida, and joined the Water Shed staff as a chemist
Kurt enjoys outdoor activities
such as camping, hiking, and cycling, as well as playing chess and
other strategy games.
